  • Re: The Serenata has launched!

Okay, I'm probably going to get hell for this: I didn't like the Serene, and I can't say I'm a fan of Serenata. the site os fabulous. Using Jan Garbarek (among others) in the background is wonderful, and it does give on the whole an ethereal feel. The phone is an improvement from the serene (as I believe clamshells are dead), the UI

Beofan2: I agree that Roger is a very reliable source but I also doubt that BS 5 will cost 20 K US dollars. In the earlier postings we were also talking about a different product with transluant alu etc. But we will all know later. Translucent Aluminum??? Is that anyting like transparent Aluminum? Scotty's invention from Star Trek IV the Voyage

tom: jk1002: I mean let's face it, for most of us this will be far to expensive. if it matches the BL5 in price, it would be a 20k$ device, Plus another 20k$ for the BL5 speaker. I am fine with a 10 or 15k for a stereo but going u to 40 is a very long way. For the Berlin event, nobody says it but it can only be the upgraded BV7 with the BS3 in the

  • Re: Finally - Entry Level TV coming to US BV 8 32" around 4000$ 1st quarter 2008

jk1002: For masterlink, you can add a module that does that. I doubt seriously that it will be based on BS3. No way at that price. I think the big let down will be that it doesn't have surround, or at least per current european spec. If they have a basic TV chassis for the US there is no reason that they won't do other TVs as well. So there

Let me add what would be invaluable would be a side by side comparison between a BV7 US and BV8 US in terms of what we're getting for our money. Picture quality, connections, etc. -Sal

Hmmm.... BV 8 for the US at $4K???? Sounds like a great deal (of course, we'll all have to see what the US version has / doesn't have in the way of connections). Obviously, it won't have a Beosystem 3 included, but hopefully it'll have Masterlink, and connections for at least L and R powerlink. The BV7 would hardly be considered entry

Well, I'd still like to know the product number for the rightmost picture in Keith Saunders' post. THanks! -Sal

Hmmm, the results I got when plugging it in didn't give me the impression that it was purely a junction box. I'll have to try it again. -Sal
