Simon mentioned the B&O Dealer network. I am curious how much money B&O could save if they closed their bespoke dealer networks, and began again to be sold at hi-end electronic retailers, yes that would mean trusting B&O to individuals who also peddle other brands, trusting installation to those individuals as well, etc. But isn't that

I vote Beo1 (though I have never used one), it just seemed impractical. For those product(s) which I have used: Beolink 5000. Any votes for the DVD1? Sal

Stan, You're not alone. When the BV8 was released here in the States, I immediately bit the bullet. But unfortunately, I had loads of trouble with it, eventually ending up in a total warranty replacement. We moved into a bigger house and the television became to small and I sold it. I think that the 8-40 IS the perfect size for an entry level main

Hi there, welcome to the forums! If you want to enjoy analog / vinyl, you couldn't go wrong with the 6500 thru 7000 series components. Beomaster 6500 / 7000, along with the Beogram 6500 / 7000 linear tracking turntables. Though many would argue that the better turntable is the Beogram 8000. The build quality of those stackable models as well as

I think B&O is definitely worth the money in some areas, and totally audacious in others. IMHO, B&O speakers are absolute wonders of engineering and aesthetics, and they sound GREAT. The ALT speakers especially the Beolab 3's are downright a steal for the price to performance ratio. Televisions are another story, B&O continues to be

One more vote for the MBPro. User serviceable HDD is key, and you get all the ports that the iMac will provide, plus the portability. And you can also choose to operate it in clamshell mode with a monitor (or Beovision) of your choice ;-) Sal

My opinions, really quickly, you should consider the Beosound 5 / BM 5 combination, you already use a computer for all your musical needs, just get BS5 / BM5 on the job. As for speakers, I think the Beolab 3 is the best speaker value B&O has in its current range. Prior to acoustic lenses, the BL4000 was the best value. I would invest in a BL2 (it

Oh, also, Guests can use the BS1 as a speaker for their iPods / other MP3 players as well. Sal

Raveny nails it: so what if so many people have it? The iPhone does what it claims to do, and does it elegantly. Do you want functionality, especially for a device which you're going to be handline and being tactile with a lot more than your audio system? If so, then the iPhone (or maybe the DROID, as it's been getting relatively positive reviews

If Archenoah is considering a unit for the guest room (exclusively). I would caution against something with masterlink, or at least getting a unit and connecting it WITH masterlink. I would prefer to have a guest unit unconnected to the rest of the system less the potential for unwittingly fiddling around with units in other rooms. The Century is a
