  • Re: Exchange BeoSound 9000 for BeoSound 5

Dear Trip: True, music, even at 320kbs, does not take a lot of space. But when we start adding pictures and what not, the space disappears rapidly. What about redundancy? I could not tell from the current specs if BS/BM 5 makes copies of all the data. It would not be a pleasure to have to reinstall all of that data. You said the thing is a computer

  • Re: Exchange BeoSound 9000 for BeoSound 5

Dear TripEnglish: Any thoughts on why the BeoMaster 5 has so little built-in space? I doubt it is because of cost. I think at minimum its needs twice the current allotment, 500GB. I know that its capacity can be expanded via the USB but that's not an elegant solution. B&O needs to address this issue promptly. It is serious matter when contemplating

  • Re: SW: Latest BV 7 version

Thank you everyone. The BS 9K was taken away for some repairs. I will ask the technician next time he is in to update to the latest SW. Although, I doubt I will be getting the BS 5. The idea is good; the amount of HD space is just poor. The thing needs at minimum 1 terabyte of space. Dario

  • SW: Latest BV 7 version

Dear All: What's the latest version of the BV 7 MkIII software? The area's only B&O certified technicians upgraded the SW to day to V 4.71. Is this the latest version? If not am I going to encounter any issues? Thank you, Dario

  • Repairs: BS9K & BV 7 sw update

Dear All: A glorious New Year to ALL. Next week, the BS 9K will be picked up and taken for warranty covered repairs. The door makes a 'popping' sound when opened. The CD on occasions will just spin and not respond to remote control commands. While the BS 9K is in for repairs, what else should I have the technicians update, repair, inspect, clean

  • Re: BeoSound 9000 MKIII

Dear All: For those of you that partake, Merry X-mas. Keep the BS 9000 enjoy it; not completely sold on Beoport. I will continue the 'search' for a system that will allow me rip, uncompressed, cds & easily search them. BS 5 at least for now, it does not solve any current integration issues satisfactory enough. It is an interesting first

  • Re: BL5 and non B&O surround processor

Which processor is that? Are you referring to a 'new' BS 3? What about the one inside the BV 7 mk III? How's the processor in that one? Dario

  • BV 7 (mk III) & Apple mini

Dear All: How do I connect an Apple mini to the BV 7? I would like to be able to stream Netflix directly to the tele. Netflix recently released the software that plays nicely with Apple computers. Your help is greatly appreciated. Dario

  • Re: How to save Bang & Olufsen

Dear Trip: Nice post. The idea of a post Beosound area sounds intriguing. I agree with your assessment of the BS 5; hopefully, it is just the beginning. I agree with B&O going with less 'boxes' & more software based interfaces. However, B&O needs to improve its software writing/GUI mojo. Beoport can make a grown man cry. Getting
