  • Re: What software for music on SD Card?

Puncher: If you aren't going to want to use .aac as your native format then I would download from online stores other than iTunes as it seems crazy to download and then convert to mp3, suffering a loss in quality in the process. convert the file to .mp3 it just to be used via the SD in the BS4.

Puncher: Is this true? Is the change from aac to mp3 lossless or does it involve re-encoding in which case the quality of the material will suffer? You will loose quality when you convert from .aac to .mp3.

iTunes seems to be the right choice and you can download the music and then convert it to .mp3 (just right click on the song and select convert to .mp3). Simple and Easy.. just enjoy.

  • Re: Beolab2

Alex: What!? BeoLab 5s or BeoLab 9s? I would have 5s any day over 9s unless I was really pushed for a more discreet design or cash. I'd personally never add a BeoLab 2 to the 9s. All you're going to do is degrade the sound, the performance from the 9's 'subs' is better than that of the BeoLab 2 (although the 2 goes louder). alex

wtlc2zpx: pedrompinto: 1st things first, so, decide which tv you'll buy (if you buy a BV7-40 you don't need beosystem 3 just right now, because you can connect the speakers to the tv) Note that you cannot combine BV7 and BS3. It is one or the other. As you are in the US, the BV7 has a BS3 integrated, for those outside the US, it is worth waiting

  • Re: need help cabling home

If i understood correctly you just want to use sound in the reading room and in the office; if so: reading room: beolink wireless + bl6000 (to link to the living room or master bedroom > you need a beolink wireless there) office: beolink wireless + bl6000 (to link to the living room > you need a beolink wireless there) As far as i understood it's

I would reccomend: TV: BV4-50 or 4-60 or BV7-40 Central Speaker: BL7.4 (Yes you can put it on the wall with any problems, it gives you a more detailed speech; useful if you see many movies) Front Speakers: BL9 (perhaps you wouldn't need a BL2; i'd have to ear it for yourself) Rear Speakers: BL3 or BL4000 I would definitely recommend BeoSystem

i rather not use the smiles, it's kinda boring sometimes to read a thread with lots of "things".
