  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Jimi Hendrix Live in Maui Hawaii 1970 both shows. Bootleg cassete on the Beocord 9000 through headphones. DIN plug broken and new one not installed yet. Killer perfomance by the way.

  • Re: B&O CD "This is different" by Kipper

Maybe it would be better to get Deep Purple Machine Head in the new remix/remastered cd version. Sounds good on vinyl but take vinyl to a B&O shop for testing? Anyway turn that cd up and see if the roof blows off or what. If it sounds good, save up your hard earned money.

  • Re: Beogram 6002

My Beogram 8002 came with a Beomaster 6000 and a Beocord 8000 on qxl.dk (Danish Ebay kind of site). I went with buy it now but non of it really worked. Now its like so/so and the Beocord still needs new drivebelts. The old ones rotted away. The seller had the stuff in his garage and never got around to put it together. At the moment all 3 items are

Metallica Garage Inc. on vinyl. Record 3 side One Actually a mistake the other day as it should have been Record 2 side One instead. I think it was the first I ever listened to record 3 at all. I've heard the songs a zillion times in other formats.

  • Re: vintage vs. modern B&O products

I don't have any real experience with the post '95 B&O products other than how they look and what the names are. If it works the older products still does a very good job. Not only sound but in the used B&O marked in general. I don't know if there really is a difference. Digital does not seem to be better. LCD and the LX line still

  • Re: Fascinating setup - Something different if you get bored

Peter Pan actually posts in the Scandinavien part of Beoworld. He has a very cool setup. I've read his thread but as far as keeping up with him posting? I'm not the man for that job and I guess that means translating the stuff.

  • Re: BEOGRAM 1700 problem with SMMC20 Soundsmith cartridge !

The price for a Soundsmith pickup is high and adding the postage is where its crazy. Soundsmith sends their packets insured. When customs see that you are being charged. I got a MMC2 from them and it was actually send 3 times to Denmark. Customs could not send a reply to me with the tax/customs cost so they send the item back 2 times. The 3rd time I

  • Re: BEOGRAM 1700 problem with SMMC20 Soundsmith cartridge !

That is the most stupid thing to do! You got a great pickup in your hands. If it does not fit the Beogram then find another 1700 or another that uses the MMC20 range. See the Beogram sections on this site for instance for the other models. A Beogram without a pickup or a bad one is not worth much. Just make sure that your pickup will fit(bring it along

  • Re: What's playing RIGHT NOW?

Just got a packet today with a Messiah box from 1965. 3 record version. Killer version. Grew up with this version and nothing else sounds better in terms of performance. Records are mint/unplayed so properly a lifetime use left.
