No as I haven't got into using the computer for music that much. It was rebuild 4 months ago but for playing music I use the main stereo instead and use either cd,radio or vinyl. I do however have mediaplayer 11 and Nero premium which covers that need for the little music I do have. One benefit is that my computer now has a remote for the Asus motherboard

Well done! Great read. My pair of Beovox M150 has no foamrot but the cabinets have a few scratches and some of the fret plugs broken. I learned a few important things here so thank you.

I would never ruin any original B&O. It's morally incorrect to me. The former owner of my Beovox M150 speakers talked about he might had painted them black before the auction which I won. I told him if that was the case I would not have been bidding at all.

I had to watch the Gasolin documentary extra dvd as it contains awesome music and recolletions of their time together as a band from 1969 to 1978. Gasolin was the Danish answer to Led Zeppelin. Yes that big! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=35lzyb7AdL0 A promo? done on their '76 US tour. It flopped! The record What a Lemon today is collectors item

Peter: David: - Cassettes were dreadful IMHO You need to hear a properly recorded cassette on a decent player - the Beocord 8002/4/9000 springs to mind. Or have a look here to see what you are missing in the portable department! Agreed. The Beocord 9000 have great noise reduction and a good recorded tape will be very cool for your enjoyment. What's

I was wondering what are the most common format B&O owners use. For me its mostly good old vinyl. Based on the sound and no cd player plugged in the Beomaster 6000. I got a DAT machine too. Sometimes it gets played but rarely. Radio to boring so never long. Can't find a good TV channel to watch(mostly) so the VX7000 gets used but it depends

Never buy NOS Capacitors? Some years ago I had a new reisue Fuzz Face (one of the first guitar overdrives) that needed a tuneup as it did not sound as good as my original 70s one. There is only small printboard and 2 volume controls basically so I modified it with a Hendrix schematic and B108 capacitors which decide the output. I did mention the B108

You can also try something else. I got a Video Terminal before my Beolink 1000 for use with my L2800. The seller demonstrated the Beovision with a Beolink 1000 but gave me the V -Terminal to use. It needed batteries but it did not work either. I took it apart and tried to touch the printboard. That worked. Put it back together and it worked with no

Also look for Beogram 8002. Mine sounds awesome when working correctly but the system is on the way to Dillen for age service/tjeck. Funny fact is using 5 pins lets the Beogram work with no problems. I've been using the Soundsmith SMC2 and they do the job very good. Highly recommended! I still got my first Beogram 1202 and needs to have the DIN

This reminds me of getting my LX5500. I could not get the Beolink 1000 to work at all. I checked the batteries which were all fully loaded. The B&O dealer is only a 5-10 minutes walk so I went and got it fixed. He installed a new print board and it has been working ever since.
