I was wondering if the '80s BM6000 is underrated as there is not a lot of discusions about them. Amongst my collection I got of them and I do listen to my white editon on a daily basis with great joy. What do you think?

I'm currently test recording an old BASF chromdioxid 120 from the late 1970's. The Beocord 6000/8000 were set to European tapes for ultimate recordings and though I was not really looking due to my Beocord 6000's limited recording options with no HXpro, calibration or dolby C to enhance a recording I located by chance some 40 odd tapes Phillips

The only thing I can ad is that a Beocord 5500 works perfectly with a BM6000 (80's) even with the 2035 remote.

Beocord 6000 being used! I just scored 10 various recording tapes today in a thrift store. I'm now listning to a Sony HF90 with '80s Madonna on the A side and B is som Bruce Springsteen. It sounds good but I'm not a fan of the music.

Well its between the 3500 and 4500 as you will need powerlinks for Beolab 4000. The 3000 is an upgrade of the 2000 with remote options but no powerlinks but a fine basic sounding reciver.

Anyway the condition was and still is very nice so I plugged in some 240 voltage of power to test it a bit. I found 2 tapes and what did I know but playback,

Where did it start? I can recall playing around with big wheels on a rosewood BM2000 way back in the '70s or so at my moms parents and they also had a black Beolit something in the kitchen. My dads parents had a BG2200 and a pair of Beovox S45-2 bought in 1979 by one of my dads 3 sisters. My parents only had a Beogram 1202 and at some point some

Currently the Beatles red double album. I grew up with this original issue and after some cleaning the Beogram 6006 plays it great.

Any B&O older than 20 years is a hit an miss in how it will work for you at any given time. Often the reason for selling would be some faults anyway with products of that age. Once a qualified service has been done which is needed in most cases then its time to enjoy it.
