I saw it in green, and didn't like it, but in the red, white or black it is much nicer. A pity they don't seem to do black/chrome body/base combinations though - the black and chrome ones would look nice if available with contrasting base...
I first misread that as "WTF factor", but I'm sure the BV5 has them both!
Seriously though, what a great TV, and a great birthday present! I agree about the looks... it's just so 'right'....
I too like old cars very much. I have 2 famous italian old cars: The first is a 1994 Lancia Delta integrale pealr white: ....very powerfully! Amazing to drive. I've never done more than repair scratches, for which I used a small brush and a tin of Humbrol Black enamel model paint This worked very well, and was invisible when the panel was mounted back on the machine in question. I'm sure someone else here will have done a full panel, and can better advise you. Good luck!
The BG7000 does implement datalink so the question of remote control depends on what you connect it to. BS9000 is a no but all the Ouverture series are a yes.
Presumably the lack of datalink on the AUX of the BS9000 must have saved B&O an extra, ooh, 25p in components on a £3000 stereo. I expect
