I think I may have the same problem... If you do find out, please drop a line on the forum... Thanks!

No problem at all. I've always been a gold member primarily to support this unique community. The monthly draw has been a nice (in fact a VERY nice) bonus. Anything that can help keep this community going should take priority... Thank you Lee (and others) for generously putting so much effort into Beoworld. If I can help in any way please do keep

No luck yet with my CD6500 despite multiple attempts to revive the unit. Replaced most capacitors. Replaced the sensitive c2103 capacitor with a known good one (from Dillen). Checked and re-soldered many spots (found and fixed a few dubious points) on the PCB's but to no avail. What's making it more difficult to understand, on a few rare occasions

Please put me on the list too (2 persons) if possible.... great idea and wonderful opportunity.

See what happens when you are unable to join online for the live prize draw? You check later and find out that your name is on the winners list! Again!! What a wonderful surprise to be selected for the second time. Thanks Beocool, and everyone for their good wishes... And congratulations to all the other prize winners on this incredible forum! Eric

Hope that will work for you Peter. When I asked my local dealer to fix my (then) brand new DVD2 he said they couldn't do this. Instead, he referred me to an outside company that was prepared to do it but was going to charge 125 GBP for it... I kindly turned down that offer, did an internet search on the methodology, and - after some experimentation

Peter, I know it can be done, but am unsure whether this can be done by the user, or whether it requires a special DVD or CD disk to do the job. When I bought mine new in (I think) 2003 or 2004, I purchased it on the condition that it had to be region free. It was. Good luck, Eric

Thanks Chris, That is good advice... I am glad I didn't try it! Kind regards, Eric

Would this perhaps also work for polishing the metal covers (CD and tape) of a Beocenter 9500?
