  • Re: Which Monitor to go with Beosystem 2 HD

Hi Kai, the BeoSystem 2 sends control signals to the monitor via a serial cable connection and, AFAIK, expects an echoed response from the monitor to confirm the signal got through. It would be well worth checking that the Samsung can accept this kind of input and uses the same protocol. It will also be worth confirming that the Samsung screen supports

  • Re: BeoSystem 2 and Apple TV

Thanks TWG, I'd had a hunt round the forums and missed the thread you directed me too. Sounds like that's the solution I want.

  • BeoSystem 2 - STB-C Upgrade help

Hi, I had recently purchased a secondhand BeoSystem 2 Mk I and wanted to run it with my Apple TV. So I ordered an STB-C table update chip. There may even be an updated version as this one was marked Western 425! However having replaced the chip (I did use an antistatic wrist strap) I get no picture at all!! • Re: BeoSystem 2 and Apple TV

Hi TWG, thanks for your response. I'm puzzled as to how I do this as the BeoSystem 2 does not offer a component input and the digital audio input is coaxial. I have been able to convert the optical signal to a coaxial one but I'm not sure how I deal with the component input?

  • BeoSystem 2 and Apple TV

Hi, I would like to hear from any one who has an Apple TV working with a BeoSystem 2. Mine is the older variety without a PC input option. I wondered if anyone else has got this arrangement to work? If you have, what configuration in terms of cables/connectors did you use and what did you need to tell the BeoSystem 2? Thanks for your advice and suggestions

  • Re: New Mac user, a few quick questions.

Hi, when it comes to viruses you are correct in that the Mac has not really been targeted by virus writers. Most of what is out there for the Mac are trojans, requiring affirmative action from the user to allow them to do their worst. However that is not to say, that with increasing popularity, the day will not come when the mac is targeted. It is also

  • Re: Comic Sans - It must be banned at once

Although I'm no fan of comic sans rather than inflicting a set of mandated fonts on everyone, why not set your browser to only render in the fonts you prefer?
