  • Re: Beomaster 1001 indicator lamps

Thanks for that. The 1001 service manual I downloaded is a little unclear to me, are the lamps easy to fit once the area is reached? Do they plug strait in or will i need soldering skills?

Yes the stereo broadcast and the lamp works ok with some radio stations on my other unit. However it's in a diferent location where reception is very good and i'm on the top floor. I will be relocating my newer unit to the same place in a few days and then i do intend to try it there and see what happens.

Thanks for that. I now also find that i can't get stereo broadcast on the fm receive even through a roof VHF aerial. If the FM stereo indicator lamp is not working could this be the caurs of this problem on old receivers. The mono button is not pressed down.

  • Beomaster 1001 indicator lamps

I have now replaced my redundant beomaster 1001 with another one. It works perfectly ok but most of the indicator lamps no longer work and I wish to replace them all to restore the unit to its original glory. I intend to do the job myself using the service manual so does anyone know if the lamps are very easy to get hold of in retail electronic stores

I have my eyes on the beocentre 7007 on ebay. Does any one know How does the bass response on it compare with that of the beomaster 1001 and 1200, Is it as deep and punchy? Secondly does anyone know if the 7007 system have any out put connections for a cd player?

  • beomaster 1001 serviceing

I may have chance to win on ebay an a second beomaster 1001 tuner amplifier that has a few things wrong with it and want it for spare parts for my existing one that also need a few small things done to it. Would Bang & Olufsen be able to service my exiting one for me if i gave them both machines to work on?

  • Re: Passive speakers

Ok thanks for all that. That's very helpful. I did think of buying a bigger amp that would match speakers that may struggle with the beomaster 1001as you were saying but the beomaster 1001 for me has sentimental value as my father had one when I was very small so like to listen to music how I remember it. I did win the beomcentre 8500 a while ago
