  • Re: Isn't it time for a "new" Beolab 5?

Hi Maab Welcome!!!! Your question is very reasonable, I too wouldn't be happy buying such an expensive speaker and find out B&O launching a replacement soon after. That being said B&O takes quite a while updating their range and speaker technology (unlike video) doesn't move significantly BTW I was very very very close to buying a pair

The last time I spoke to a B&O dealer the BeoVision 7-55 was AUD33k, thats a lot of money for something can will quickly be outdated by competitor product or new technology. With 33k I could purchase the new Sharp PRO-70X5FD (at 70inch instead of 55inch), a B&O BeoLab 7 and OPPO BDP-95 with quite a bit

14.5k pounds isn't so bad.... you should come to Austalia. The BL5 are selling at 18.2k pounds excluding GST (i.e VAT)

  • Re: Bv4-85

Like many luxury goods, the value proposition of the BV4-85 is highly subjective. Personally given the pace in visual display technology, the relative pricing of the BV4-85 seems excessive to me. Then again, I think the pricing of the Beolab 5 is quite reasonable - many would think otherwise.... BTW I'm curious if anyone could explain the vast difference
