We have two sets of 4000s, one set on stands and one set as speakers for our computer. We also have a set of Beolab 1 and 6000s in a surround sound setup. Sometimes when I want to listen to music, I actually prefer the 4000s over the 1s. The 1s have more detail but sometimes the 4000s just sound better to me. I agree they are fantastic speakers. That

My wife and I are having the urge to buy a new B and O toy. Any thoughts on whether we would notice more difference replacing Beolab 4000s in a link room with Beolab 3s or replacing Beolab 1s in a surround sound setup with Beolab 9s?

Sorry, but I disagree. My dealer has advised that the new Beovision will upconvert to 1080p. Also, a quick search online yields other products on the market from other manufacturers that upconvert to 1080p

Dealer just confirmed it for me, Beovision 9 will upconvert all to 1080p once new one comes out.

With the discussion herein about upconverting, does that mean the Beovision 9 once it has the 1080p as well as the Beovision 7 will upconvert all images to 1080p? Do they currently upconvert to 768? or something similiar. A dealer is offering us a great price on a Beovision 9 and we are trying to decide whether or not to wait for a 1080 p 7 or 9. A

So it will not convert as our Avant does? My understanding is that the Avant upconverts 480i to 480p.
-
When the Beovision 7 and 9 come out with the new 1080p screens will they upconvert all sources to 1080p? Or only show 1080p if the source is in 1080p?

Thanks for all of the input. We have thought of either using them to replace the 1s in a surround sound setup or possibly to replace a pair of 4000s in a link room, although they are a bit pricey for the amount of use they would get in the link room. We listened to them at a dealer but regrettably due to a large atrium outside the store entrance with

We have Beolab 1s and 6000s connected to an Avant. What are thoughts on replacing the 1s with 9s? Is the sound really that much better? Is a sub needed with the 9s? Aesthetically speaking I think the 1s make much more of a statement.

I was told BV 9 will not be 1080p until this fall.
