Did you already try the 100nF blocking ceramic caps directly at the processor's supply as me & Olly suggested?
-
I always put a ceramic 100nF between + and GND on my controller's power supply. There seems to be a 1nF only here; can't see if they are ceramic - sadly I don't own a BM8000: I would put those 100nF in parallel to C16 / C46 and try again as filtering the 7805 obviously helped a little. Just a thought.... Gunther

And the black thingies - what are they? They are definitely NOT plastic - should have remembered that And look - I have a new ID - and it's NOT a copy!!!!!!!! Thanks so much for all this - I'm really being cared of And the looks get better every day - gaps are closed. So long - will be back if any news.. BM4000 @Soren H: You could have a look

Just a quick update: Look what came on Tuesday I'm gonna have the artificial part removed and replaced by an original I do have friends !!! Martin sent me some genuine parts to make me feel better. So much for the bracket:
So how many BG's can be outfitted to play 78s? For some reason I had it in my head that it was only the BG1000.
Rich, the BG1500 is nothing more than a BG1000 with an 2x6W amplifier in it Gunther

Hello Yann, I don't own a 9000 (although I'd like to...) but I can imagine lookin' at the SM: mute - that one has been answered - relay. memory: There's a small battery in the unit, will have to be replaced. Not a standard cell though. tape: probably a belt problem with the rotation detector - surely Martin (Dillen) will fall in here
Okay, same as record player I guess.
Yes, and I'm more than sure that Rich will fall in here soon and make his "TT ads" ... BTW, my actual TT count is 4 (not including the old JVC): I forgot my BG1500 to play my 78 shellacs through some Beovox M
