Sorry Soren - had to find a working example of BM1900 / 2400. As it's one of my favourite receivers (noone younger one believes that it's a 1970 something device) I have several unchecked ones from fleabay... The first was obviously slaughtered by the previous owner - cutted wires et. The second was just relay-clicking on power on. The third

Soren, just to be sure - are we talking BM2400 or BM2400-2? There are (minor) differences and just to confuse everyone both have Type 2901 My 2400-2 schematcs doesn't show C47a either. And to narrow down the short circuit: TR31 C to GND no short? (will be low ohms as there are the bulbs connected but should have at least more than approx. 30R
would he not measure 81R Hemenex?
Where should he measure 81R? From TR27C to GND? Sorry I don't get it.... According to my schematics both caps are from +15V Stby to GND without any R inbetween... What did I miss? Gunther

Next candidates: C71 & C47a...

As E TR28 and B TR27 are connected there must be an err on the voltages mentioned - either 22.05V or 0V. Is there a short circuit from C TR27 (+15V stby) and GND? check all 3 transistors (at least the C-B diode of TR27 seems ok)
is the main transformer gone ???
Definitely not. It wouldn't deliver 18V AC then
after the rectifier 22.8 V dc
Higher than mentioned but shouldn't be a big deal. Probably TR27 gets warmer.
no power
not red,

Beovox 3702 Red Line speaker
So what now? Red area speakers.... Ok, maroon I suspected a little more brownish (like maroons). But it surely looked like magenta. Wouldn't be my color for vintage but everyone to his taste...; at least it's
The pic do not show the real color (Maroon)
Did the fabric selector select this fabric? I hope the real color ist not that "pink-y" Gunther And good luck with your BM4000-progress

Hi elephant, Yes this has been created thanks to Visual Basic 6 and Buttonmaker As I don't own a Beolink office or PC2 (I wasn't even aware of them back then) I had to "invent" something on my own. The Beo4 picture is connected to winamp via an self-made USB IR-receiver & a VB program I both made years ago. So it can be remote
