Personally, I would (and have done so!) go for the BL5s. The room adaptation by itself is almost worth the price difference, as you have surmised. Distance from walls is a problem for ALL loudspeakers. BL5s probably suffer LESS than most. Nonetheless, 1.5 m isn't a bad recommendation for distance from walls. However, if you can't do it, it's
