i don't know if i am really answering your questions but there are a few considerations: 1. i recently put my Bv4-50 into storage as i moving into a flat for a couple of years. i am now watching TV on a 22 inch CRT and am really struggling with the small screen. it has significantly reduced my viewing pleasure but i will manage. i would urge you

all sorted. i was using a thin powerlink cable between the 2 lab5s. it now works with the thicker 'fully mounted' powerlink cable. powerlink cables are NOT the same... many thanks for replying stefan.

oh dear, another problem long the beolab 5 and bes5 lines. just packed my TV away for a move. left with beolab 5 and bs5. connected as above with same options. now no sound from left channel unless i take the spdif cable out of the left speaker. when the spdif is connected no sound. when i take the spdif cable the powerlink sends an analogue signal

i've written to the CEO by letter as I got irritated by b&o's customer service's online replies which were useless, guarded and unenlightening. i've printed this thread for him to read. let's see what the CEO says in person...

it didn't play after a minute to few minutes irrespective of what played it. suspect it was a fault at their end. perhaps a corrupt studio master file. perhaps a one of fault with that file alone at linn. their site is otherwise impressive.

i contacted Linn and they replied but never admitted to a problem or even mentioned it in their reply to me. I tried all the above recommendations so i suspect it was a problem at their end and not at my end. they shipped a SACD which is compatible with a normal CD reader. i ripped it into standard CD quality. would have been nice to have it in studio
