  • Re: Beogram 8000 type 5615

Hi Frank (and others), just a general piece of advice on this way of ''repairing'': replacing parts before finding the fault or establishing the problem is imho not a wise thing: if you replace a part with a replacement, or (accidentally) make a mistake the apparatus won't work still/again and you'll be lost with a possible double

  • Re: Beovision Avant screen lines

There is many info on this topic on this forum. If you don't know anything about tv technology than don't try it yourself but in short i'd advice you to establish if it is really the tube (which indeed is actally always the case) and than try to ''clean'' it with glowing and tapping, which doesn't cost more than time

  • Re: Service manual BC9300

Hi, what i'm looking for is the schematics of the power supply (very different from the 2500 btw) and the microcomputer (with the pcb on it, which i assume is part of the interface with the computer). Circuit board drawings would be helpfull also of these parts :).

  • Re: Beovision AV 9000 problem(s) - Need help!

Ok, the next step would be to check the +150 V (or so) powersupply to the HT trans, if that is ok the transformer itself might be suspicious..

  • Re: Beolit Speaker Replacement Mission.....

Long time ago i've written on this here (bw), i have them fixed in Thailand (Bangkok Chinatown, where they repair many things and hours are still cheap). So: whatever you do, never throw away broken (usually stuck) speakers ! I have 1 or 2 repaired spares, i might sell and trade in a broken one (which i can have repaired again). I could also have

Hi, if Lee can send you the woofer (which looks a lot like an Avant type anyway...if so i'd have some for you also :) ) maybe he can also send you the board at the back of the tube, with the focus potmeter on it. Btw i'm assuming you're confident enough with tv-electronics to work on it....:). Most likely your fuzzy screen is caused by a

  • Re: Project Beovox 3000

...and so have i....mind the 6220 don't seem to have the connection for the cubes. Interesting though is that the 'dome' version is apparently older than the cone version ?? (one would expect the other way around, like with the vox 5000 where the old cones were replaced by domes).

  • Re: Project Beovox 3000

Yes: the bass driver should come out just like that and behind the controls there's a pcb with the filter on it (on the inside of course). Other than that and rockwool there shouldn't be much more in the cabinet :) Sanding carefully with a high grade saning paper and than polish with beewax should do the job (this is what i remember from Frede

  • Re: avant picture problem - any advice, please...

If the lines are white: most likely something with a louzy G2 control or HT/flyback electronics problem If the lines are either blue, red or green: most likely the tube (easy to find out by a tech).
