  • Beolab 2 external relay (for non-B&O pre-amp?)

I am sure this has been discussed before and buried in some other postings and I apologize as I have asked a similar question in a different recent post Q: Hooking up my BL2 to a sub-output on a pre-amp. I guess needs some type of relay??? Where does one get this? How much? I am in the States. any other thoughts? -michael

  • Re: Beolabs and non-B&O preamp (McI Mx-130)

I want to run the speakers FROM the McI preamp. I currently have them running from the 3200 in the standard way. But I want to take the 3200 out of the picture (other than use it as a CD player and harddrive music input to the pre-amp). I have several of the 5pin-DIN to 4-RCA adaptors and use them as described. It sounds like the BL2 is the problem

So far - for the 2 hours that I have had time to play with it - I love it. It is beautiful! Built like a tank, solid, but smooth.... the remote is a little different. But for a kit 20 years/old - it looks flawless! (more to follow) If I hook the output to my RCA-Line In on the BL8000 and then run the Powerlink (or is it Masterline) from the BL8000 to

There is really nothing in their product line that excites me or serves my needs (or wants) The service is awful, the prices for what you get are, as well know, in outer space. The quality is fading (I bought a phone for my mom a few years back and instantly returned it since the sound volume and quality was crap). I follow this forum since it is interesting

  • Moving on... bought my last B&O anything...

It has now been over 4 months (I even lost track) since I ordered (and of course paid for) replacement foam pads for my Form 2 headphone from my local dealer (the same place that I have bought $$$$$ of stuff over the years). Less than 10 miles from my home. Multiple calls, requests for follow-up, told had to get from Denmark (not even sure if ever ordered

  • Re: Connecting Beolaps 8000 directly to a DVD Player

I recently bought an OPPO Bluray. It has RCA audio outs and a volume control from the remote - hence it should work. I have not tried it, but in theory. The OPPO was about $500 (US) and considered by most to be one (if not the) best BR/universal players on the market. -m

  • Re: dont buy beo lab 5 or beovision 9

Multiple calls to dealer, told the need to come from Denmark - like everything these days (since Chicago warehouse closed). They cant even tell me if they are ordered. I told them I was looking at a Beosystem 5 (she couldnt even give me any major details - like a price

  • Re: The Beatles.... need I say more?

We can argue until the cows come how if the Beatles were the greatest "rock and roll" group of all time (by whatever criteria is used). But their influence on culture, music, and defining a genre are undeniable (regardless of whether you or I like their music in particular). The fact that many of this younger generation has never heard of
