My thought on quality from a consumer AND dealer perspective: The product on the showroom floor should represent the minimum standard the customer can expect. If there is an immediate gap between what you have and what you expected/witnessed from the demonstration unit, the dealer should resolve it, not a service center, and certainly not you. If the

I haven't experienced that problem and I always rip at 192 or better. If your files sound good on another system, the next easiest thing to check would be your headphones on that other system and eliminate them from the issue. Good luck.

Apple presentation stated clearly that they are in the technology business. They are in bed with ATT for phone service and ATT is apparently not getting the switchover they wanted when they made the deal. The contract is 2 years with a big termination fee. ATT is now driving this bus, not Apple. We are a fickle lot. I think iPhone is cool, and at the

You might try this; In principal, it should work, though I haven't tried your exact situation. Add A-V to your Beo4 list menu. Set up one of your A/V connections for VAUX (or your choice) with HDMI Bring up your computer video via DVI-HDMI and VAUX. Press A-V on your Beo4, then NMUSIC. Hope that solves your problem.

Certainly not an expert here, but this might be worth a try: If your mac has a dvi output, I think you should be able to use an dvi -> hdmi cable, connect to an hdmi input, and in the connections menu, code a BeoSystem 3 AV input to PC and that particular hdmi input. Then, when you listen to NMUSIC, turn your TV to PC (or would you have to use A

I believe you have the answer Stax. It will be interesting to see how the internet version of robber barons will conspire to make sure that there are an abundant number of incompatible standards from which we can choose. Ooops, I shouldn't have written that on my business computer!

If you are "poor" and live in a small apartment and have a BeoSound 1, you might consider spending your money on a stand and remote and run your TV output through it? While our store is new and don't have a lot of history, we have had a few clients do just that. We provide an extra mains cord and an rca-din cable. When placed properly

Agreed, Keith, my MVP (most valuable player). Thanks. Ray

Depending on your system, you can always go "out" through your soundcard and go "in" via AAUX. You won't have control with Beo4, but you can playback with any software you wish and at any bitrate, controlling from your computer. If using playlists, it might not be too much of a bother. Ray

1. Alex, artifacts do not appear to be an issue with BV7. I am sure the jury will speak loudly when it's (American) football season (no problem with auto racing, but the camera pans). You definitely don't have the problem of slow processing. For pixellation (sp), the only issues I have seen are based on signal. And the blacks are miraculous
