  • Re: BV7 DVD Tray wont close

Thanks for the replies. I have fixed it. Using the blunt end of a HB pencil, I pushed, prodded, poked and played around with the tray. All the time, pressing the eject button. Not sure how, but I managed to get it to work again. Now, a four year old girl.... duck tape or cable ties.....which is less cruel???????

  • BV7 DVD Tray wont close

My 4 year old has worked out how to open/close the DVD tray on my BV7. However, today she grabbed the tray as it was going back in and stopped it. Now it won't close using the sense button. I have tried the "turn it off and on again" routine but nothing seems to work. Tried pressing all buttons in all sorts of orders. It is not bent, just

  • Re: Apple TV vs. Playstation 3 as Media center

This is very interesting to me as I am in the middle of a media upgrade around my house. Typical bloke... playing with toys!!! I have my entire music, photos and now DVD collection on a 1TB NAS (QNAP) which works very fast over the LAN and also has built in wireless, Firewire 800 for super fast connection to my iMac. It also supports DLNA so the PS3

  • iPod to BV7?

Is this a simple case of using the Aux - ipod lead into the back of the TV? Is this a better/worse/equal option than connecting it to the BS9000. I have to say, whilst i LOVE the BS9000 looks, I now have all 600 CD's on MP3 format on iPod and computer and the need just isn't there anymore...... so toying with the idea of getting rid and storing

  • Re: Speaker Update Q

Thanks to everyone for their input. In the end the wife got involved and decided the Bl3's were ugly so they were discounted. I upgraded my BL6's for BL8's. My living space doesn't lend itself to rears for the full 5.1 sound. Young children and busy lifestyle mean that I rarely get to enjoy a movie in a decent seating position and never

  • Re: What is the true added value of style?

Every manufacturer will have "overpriced" products as well as excellent value for money in the market they are selling. Overpriced is a personal decision. Most people on this forum are B&O owners and, as such, have made a decision that paying X pounds more for a product is value for money for them. Why does BMW outsell Ford in the UK?

  • Re: Beolab 7.1 vs Beolab 4000's as center channel

As above, BL7.1 is far better. Have tried BL6, BL4 and BL8's as centre just for a laugh. The BL7 is better to my ears than all the above as it is designed as a centre speaker. The closest was the BL8, but it still lacked bass response for the centre sound stage. With a 50" screen I'd go with a BL7.2 instead. Wider and more asthetically

  • Speaker Update Q

I currently have in a room BV7-32 & BL7.1 BL6000 BL2 I am trying to remove the speakers off the floor, going to wall hang or table top the TV and BL7. Looking to replace the BL6's. Any suggestions? I was thinking I would replace BL6's for BL3's and keep the BL2. These would be either wall mounted as fronts, about 4 feet either side of

  • Re: BV7 and Projector

Spoken to my dealer. They have told me that it is £400 to fit as it doesn't come as a standard fit on BeoVision 7's. Only BeoLiving dealers can supply pre-installed, and only on the BeoSystem 3. Everything else requires a retro-fit at £400 a time. Need a card installed. Also got the same answer about HDMI connection, but fortunately
