now I have the hang of it, thanks. the display cuts out quite quickly, I guess it is to save battery, but I don't remember it turning off the display so quickly before, so I changed the batteries, but it made no difference, is there a button to keep the display on at all times ?

I am seeing an old pal of mine this weekend, and he has a pair of CVA-28's http://www.cerwinvega.com/active28.php His BeoSystem 7000 did have Penta 3 speakers connected to them, but he now has those connected up to his Ouverture in the bedroom, so does anyone have any advice to give me before I go round there and connect his CVA-28's to his

thanks Peter for the heads up, do I use the wheel to tune into a radio station, because when I do that the volume goes up and down :-)
-
I remember how to use my Beolink 1000 remote to program radio station presets on my BeoMaster 5500 press Go To xxx.x ( for the FM station frequency ) press Store - then type in a preset number ( between 1 and 20 ) and press Store again but I can't remember how to do it using the MCP 5500, can someone refresh my failing brain, thanks :-)

that would be great, I have some RL 60.2's that could do with a strap refresh, also I remember someone on ebay selling the distinctive Red & Black speaker cables that go with the Redline speakers, but they seem to have disappeared, does anyone know who now sells the curly speaker cables these days ??

I know Stuart is not too far from Durham, he can ably service CD50's email him at : adamson_s@btinternet.com he is about an hour drive away from you up the A74 headed north up to Motherwell

I think one of the nicest amps that sounds really good with the S80.2's is the Beolab 5000 from way back in 1967 http://www.beoworld.org/prod_details.asp?pid=383 but any of the Beomaster 5000, 5500, 6000, 6500 and 7000 models drive these speakers pretty well IMHO ! NB Beomaster 5500, 6500 and 7000 If you have owned a lot of B&O equipment then

I have an Avant Type 81/33, and would like a PIP module for it, do you know which one i need Gerd ? I am also after Pro Logic Surround module and STB-C thanks Peter

well if B&O have provided coaxial out on the BS9000 and the other CD players you mention, then I am hoping that this maybe possible on the Ouverture with a bit of head scratching, I guess only by looking at the circuitry and figuring out the complexity if it were viable or not is the next course of action.

upgrading my Ouverture is something I would like to do this month, but before I do has anybody else opened one up and made any noticeable modifcations that have improved the sound any ?? one thing that annoys me it that my next door neighbour bought a Beosound 9000 just before Xmas from a mate of his who was moving back to Canada, and it sounds way
