I bought some watch crystal polish today, and was very careful whilst doing it, then I tried to rip it in 7 different computers and laptops at work, all sadly to no avail - just goes to show how fragile these spinners are folks ! One very nice person on the forum does have the same CD as me, so should be able to keep my mum happy when she comes around
-
tis a great shame, I was once a very loyal fan (and customer of B&O) , I bought my first Ouverture in 1997, then a second in 1998 with Beolab 4000 speakers (one of the best combinations for easy listening in my humble opinion) , and Avant TV's, etc etc, then multilink all the rooms at a house we no longer live at, blah blah........ but then

I have somehow damaged my Bang & Olufsen Vol. XIII – The Sound of Perfection CD that my mum likes listening to in the car, the only 2 tracks that are now damaged and virtually unplayable are Track 1 and Track 4, I did copy this album for safe keeping to a hard drive, but I have a feeling it is in Spain, and I won't be able to visit again

I took the glass doors off the Ouverture very carefully and cleaned them, they needed cleaning badly after 15 years :-) but one of the black clips that is glued to the glass needs re-gluing to be on the safe side, so I might as well re-glue all four, do I just use superglue, or araldite, not sure what would be best, and am open to some advice from others

my turntable is not going to suit her then after all, I guess to round out her system she now really needs a Beogram 8002 with a nice MMC2 cart :-)
-
can anyone confirm that the BM8000 has switch for both MM and MC carts ?? I have a dear friend who is smitten with one of my turntables that has a "Moving Coil Cartridge" and her uncle has an old BM8000 that she is picking up over Xmas and she wants my deck to go with it, she bought my old Beovox Penta speakers in the summer, and the BM5000

ah, so even though the BT Master only has pins 2 and 5 connected, the 2400 needs an extension cable that has 2, 3 an 5 on the RJ11 socket into the bottom of the phone Keith, I just don't get it how it magically works with the supplied B&O cable if there is no wire even terminated on pin 3 inside the BT master socket ??
-
trouble is there is no extension socket Keith, just the BT master, we are just plugging in a 10 metre cable reel to the BT master ( NTE ) socket on the wall, and using the cable supplied with the Beocom 2400, when only using the supplied 2 metre cable the phone rings fine, but when we use the 10 metre extension reel between the BT Master and 2400 it
-
maybe it might be best if I just make a longer cable, does anyone know the pinouts for the RJ11 plug at the Beocom 2400 end of the cable ? the BT jack end BT431A is simple enough
-
silly problem which we cannot fathom, the 2400 works fine plugged into the BT master socket, but we now want to move the phone to the other side of the room, and the BT extension (10metres) cable reel that we bought to do this does not quite work properly. We can make outgoing calls using the 2400, but when someone calls our number the 2400 does not
