  • Beocom 5 - its a great product (no really)

After one of my 10 year old Beocom 6000's was getting a bit flake-y, and needing something that I could use to dial into meetings and mute the microphone (without the annoying beep every few seconds that the old 6000's did) I decided to take the plunge and get a beocom 5 for the same price as a new becom 6000 and charging base owuld have cost

  • Re: LC2 appears to be toast - recommendations for 3rd party equivalents ?

Yes - please tell of the fix. If it's a visit to the local electrical repair shop for standard parts to be changed then I'll give it a go. Cheers

  • LC2 appears to be toast - recommendations for 3rd party equivalents ?

After failure of 1 of my two LC2's (dead even after changing the fuse) I'm on the lookout for a 3rd party equivalent. I don't want to have to program it by computer - I'm aiming for the simplicity of the Lc2, wire it in and the B&O remote switches it on & off. Thats all ! Previous searches seem to have recommended Lutron /Lintronic

  • Re: New DVB-HD dowload on B & O page

One other thing - why don't b&o give more info as to whats in the update? It would give people an opportunity to decide whether they want to chance an update ... I realize that there are many countries they operate on - but assu ing that b&o know what they are fixing , it wouldn't kill them to communicate to the customer ....

  • Re: New DVB-HD dowload on B & O page

Very happy with this update !! It fixed my problem where I couldn't rescan without having channels in two separate groups ( any single groups the tv would scan had either abc numbered wrong, or channel 7 upwards wrong). It (relatively) fixed a niggle I had had with the guide - that it wasn't populated unless I had first visited each channel

  • BV7-40 MK3 with DVB-HD - Australian Channel Numbers & Channel Groups

As a newbie to the BV7-40 MK3 with DVB-HD, do you have control over what channels are in which groups ? For a reason that seemed logical at the time I reset all channel data - and now i can't get a single channel group that has all channels in it (correctly numbered (eg with ABC 2 on 22 & GEM on 90) - I did before. For the australian reader

  • BV7-40 MK3 & Blue ray upgrade

Any one gone through adding blue ray post-purchase ? Any pit falls (apart from price!) from the experience... I'm trying for a 'no attached boxes' around the TV - so its an internal upgrade or external blu-ray but attached via wireless HDMI options at the mo. All experiences gratefully received.

  • Lab 6000 & BV7-40 Mk3 - Bass interference sound

I've recently switched my Avant to a BV7-40 Mk3 and therefore moved my Lab 6000's across. With the correct speaker type selected on the BV7 - as well as reduced bass and low speaker level - there is still an "interference" sound through the speakers at the lower range. I first heard it with a film that had a low rumble - turning the

  • Re: Apple TV and BV7 IR lead

I've just setup a Bv7-40 Mk3 & Apple TV (black), the IR lead pretty much works anywhere along the front of the apple tv. I haven't taped it in place - its just lying in front of the box. I've been meaning to attach the apple tv to the wall to neaten it all up - but haven't got that far as yet. The main problem I had was trying to

  • Re: Advice regarding 7-32 or 7-40

I was looking at the same two - except in my case a used 7-40 vs a new 7-32. Our Lounge isn't huge so we didn't want a domineering tv. We got a used mk3 bv7-40 on a low stand with the 7.1 speaker. It really does diminish the impact of the size. Also very happy with the picture quality and hdmi & blue ray options. A great tv !!
