I have had a thought after seeing the solution for masterlink control with a lintronic 238 is to try out either a 1615 beolink video or a 1611 convertor. I wonder if either of these in conjunction with a lintronic to do the code conversion would allow the integration of a different CD/tuner etc as a audio master. What do you think?

Has anybody done this or know if it is possible to integrate a non B&O Hifi into masterlink with control i.e. access & control connected sources CD, radio etc as though it were a B&O audio system. Simon

Your missing the point, alot of people are not as tech savvy with their music on their network, they are most likely have it on a iPod thats downloaded from a laptop/desktop. So to be able to link & control a official iPod dock will be a very good solution for B&O traditional customers, lets face it those of us who frequent this site to not

Hope it's not going to be standalone as that will defeat the object of having the dock. Ideally it would be masterlinked in like a beoport and act as a music source that can also connect to the rest of the system, if it was also wireless then that would be fantastic as it would be able to connect to their existing wireless transceivers. Just watched Surrogates on Sky, I am sure there was a Beosound 9000 on the wall of Bruce Willis's apartment. Maybe someone else can confirm.

I know it would cat 5,6 or 7 cables etc as this is what the \HDMI baluns currently use, there is a HDMI over IP solution available but it's early days yet with this tech & we know that B&o move at a snails pace. I am more interested in the general specs i.e. what are the supported models, will they all require a update to enable, what about

Had to share it with you all, just picked up the Beolab 3000's I won on ebay I am really chuffed to bits coveted this range for a while , they sound & look great, not yet put them on the wall though. I ma now looking for a long hang on the wall type audio system, I like the Beosystem 2000 but I can not connect to the rest of the Masterlink,

Sounds like the remote. Is it still in warranty? otherwise it's a nice paper weight.
