  • Re: Beocom 6000 - European compatibility issues?

Hi Andy, he certainly has. It's important to have a few good techies in any forum which performs any useful function (other than idle chat). Thanks again Keith.

Keith Saunders: Very good Phil, We now know for sure that the problem is with the line driver in the France Telecom Exchange which we had both really thought was the case from the begining. So we must both wait another 7 days for this more senior engineer hopefully to change the line driver. What your tests also show is that whilst the fault is at the

Coolskin: @PAJ I think it should be possible to use the B&O sensor. Somewhere else in this forum thread you should find the wirediagram to connect the wires inside the B&O sensor. I only used the Lintronic sensor because I have it available. As I said before, it is now again connected to the window screens. This sensor has the same IR range

Coolskin: PAJ: I have just taken delivery of a LinTronic TT-IR-1455 sensor (i know that it's not very powerful but then I do not need to use the Beo4 at other than close range). I have system preferences set to "Activate Front Row using PC" but I didn't seem to get any response from the Beo4. Then I noticed a reaction..... if I repeatedly

Hi, I have a Powermac G5 , OSX 10.4.9, BM-Link 1.50.1, firmware 1.3. All works well. I have just taken delivery of a LinTronic TT-IR-1455 sensor (i know that it's not very powerful but then I do not need to use the Beo4 at other than close range). I have system preferences set to "Activate Front Row using PC" but I didn't seem to get

I had the same problem which I endured for years. It was definitely a mechanical sound which was really noticeable at low volumes in classical pieces. Eventually I took it to a dealer and had the CD mechanism replaced. It was three years ago and my recollection was that it cost about 200 euros. I have to say that I rarely use it now thanks to iTunes

Keith, the engineer arrived and confirmed the voltage drop. We then went together to the exchange (with the beocom) and tested the circuit in the exchange..... exactly the same! In the engineers words this confirms that the "wiring" is in perfect working order. The exchange was split into two sections... the first a huge rack of end terminations

Keith, I made several tests yesterday at two different friends houses.... here are the results. House A: With 6000 base Voltage at rest -54.5V DC Dialtone -8.5V DC and remains steady Same test but with a Siemens DECT Phone Voltage at rest -54.5V DC Dialtone -13V DC and remains steady House B: With 6000 base Voltage at rest -54.5V DC Dialtone -8V DC

Hi Meandmyshadow, I have now tried the connection with three different basestations. A very old triangular base, a slightly more recent triangular base (but still MKI) and as of yesterday, a more modern black plastic BeoLine base. Eachl have different software revisions but all show exactly the same problem. For this reason I think that it is unlikely
