I don't know what I've done now but I managed to erase the phonebook from my first phone and now it shows phonebook updating but it's been there for ages and nothing happens! HELP!!! It has been registered with the base and is set on common so it should get the names B

Hi Andy, as you suggested the second phone was linked to three bases and it must got confused. I've managed to remove all of them except mine and it now works! The phonebook has now been updated! Thanks for your reply Bruno

I've been playing around and think I sorted it out. I had to cancel and re-register the base a few times in order to link the second phone to the base. Glad I've managed eventually Bruno

Hello I've just received another handset and successfully connected it to my original base. I've read that I have to select common on the menu in order to share the phonebook but if I try on the second handset it says: personal-not base 1. What does this mean? How can I make both phones to share the phonebook and work properly? My second phone

Hi Peter, there are three batteries inside that look like 3 AA type. These are linked in pairs. The first to the second and the second to the third. The only name I can see on the small label is UMA Power Ni-Cd 3.6V/800mAh. There is also a number: 1123-39 Hope this helps Bruno

The battery of my beocom 5000 is at its end now and needs replacement. Do you still find these? On ebay I normally see those for beocom 6000 and beocom 4 Any help much appreciated Bruno

I bought my Ouverture in Italy over 10 years ago and I've got the same problem with the date. Just checked it now and it shows 6th June 2007 when it should be 10th May 2007. If I try to program the system to record or play with the timer facility the date goes back to normal before confirming the timer. Before this I had a problem with the clock

I have one beocom 6000 and am very happy with it! Definitely worth it but if you don't want to spend too much you can have a look on ebay. There are always plenty of them for sale. It's a very easy phone to use and the sound quality is very good. Not to mention the design... I also use it to control the volume of my Ouverture and MX7000 tv.
