  • Re: Beolab 8000 IEC-Power?

beologisch: 355f certainly hit a wrong button here ! he's got the sequence completely backwards ! I for one don't buy B&O because of their looks but because of all the other reasons to buy a very good stereo ! try listening to a BL5 e.g. pure sound quality and less looks, but I love them ! Audio means sound first- easy to use and looks second

  • Re: iPhone

Alex: Apparently they make something like a 40% profit on it, but I still think it's amazing they can supply a piece of hardware like that for under $1000. It's built to a very high quality apparently, and so far they seem relatively reliable (bar a few problems with speakers being too quiet). You should get acquainted with buying and manufacturing

  • Re: iPhone

My view entirely and I posted it previously. No 3g makes it underperform. I was involved with the chinese company making it. My feeling is that this product would not be that accepted if it were any otehr brand. Basically its an i pod and a phone with a poor browser but has a touch sensitive screen. The unit is quite wide. The screen operates i the

  • Re: iPhone

Had a play with one at an electronics event. Actually its not all that- a lot of hype. Ok its all touch screen ( same as prada phone) it is not 3G which makes it slow, its a phone with e mail and storage and built in i pod- a device like so many except its in a touch format. Screen will get scratched to bits very soon and battery life is said to be

  • Re: BV 9 Full HD

I think so much is down to personal tastes that have developed after watching a certain kind of picture. For example I woould never buy LCD to me the picture lacks depth, has motion issues and the colours are to vivid. In my opinion you cant compare plasma to LCD and yet on a recent television program the best LCDs were at one end of the room and the

Bingo: Well, take a look for yourself at the new Pioneer and I wonder what you will say:-) I saw this panel some time ago when it wasin its last stages of development and its avery impressive panel for a plasma. The balcks are very good as indeed are the blacks on the BV9 but there are many issues that make up a good picture its not all about CR and

  • Re: BV 9 Full HD

Well it depends upon the SOURCE as i said before. Indded if its your opinion that as a whole the pioneer beats it hands down well thats great!! Ive only been in electronics and screen manufacturing for 10 years so I probably have much to learn. Overall the bv9 is as good as it gets.

  • Re: BV 9 Full HD

Magazines are there to SELL the product! Whilst I dont wear rose tinted specs in relation to B&O equipment-- I dont know what source you were watching but the BV9 with integrated BS3 is as good as it gets. The new pioneer is praised for its black levels and BS3 of course helps in that direction which coupled with the BV4 produces a black which cant

  • Re: I am looking for another choice except serene......

Beo: Dear all, I would like to look for another choice except serene. I hope a phone can give similar level of voice quality as serene. I have tried the most updated high-end Nokia 8600 Luna, N70, my own Samsung D528, and motorola crystaltalk phones. The best performance yet is motorola crystaltalk. But some people said it is great in noisy environment

  • Re: Beolab 8000 IEC-Power?

Well B&O are a lifestyle hifi company they are not in the business of making the best sounding hifi- or ever have been. There are many better system designs that thy can adopt but I doubt it will increase sales much. B&O buyers generally buy it beacuse it looks good and that consideration outweighs the performance
