  • Re: BV7 Beosystem 3 Limitations

I am supportive of B&O products. My purpose is to inform and impart some of my experience in the electronics business having manufactured for most of the leading brands for some 8 years. B&O could have easily come up with better solutions. There is so much to learn and its comforting I can come to you for your technical expertise. Clearly bit

  • Re: BV7 Beosystem 3 Limitations

It must seem odd even to Razlaw that here we have the latest BV7 with its inbuilt BR that costs £1000 and the BV7 cannot reproduce DTSMA!!- even the latest variant. Never mind the solution apparently is to buy another blue ray for £190 to plug into the back of your £11000 BV7 and hey ho- all is well and you get everything!!! i wonder

  • Re: Sharp LED-LCD better than B&O-plasma ?

It is accepted in higher av circles that the best vision solution is a panasonic commercial panel and a high end processor like a lumagen. The BV4 is in effect the p[anasonic commercial panel and the bs3 is a processor- not quite high end but its good. No lcd presently available will match the colour rendition, response time and flim like quality you

I would not get satisfaction from the blind leading the blind get it from B&O technical rather than a few things picked up on the internet

  • Re: BV7 Beosystem 3 Limitations

please look backover the previous thread about this then it might be clearer to you. I think the problem is that you are taking as gospel the reverse compatability or hdmi 1.1-1.3 and that from a manufacturing point of view in the real world is wrong im afraid. It would seem that nothing I can say will change your resolve so lets just beg to differ

  • Re: BV7 Beosystem 3 Limitations

you dont need me to confirm it!! send a mail to B&O they make it! The responses we had before were not satisfactory as you will recal. Another particular feature of HDMI 1.3 is its backwards compatibility with HDMI 1.0, 1.1, and 1.2. However, components will not always be universally compatible because the feature was recently defined in the newer

  • Re: BV7 Beosystem 3 Limitations

send this question to B&O technical! Can you confirm that bs3 is capable of outputting DTSMA and similar codecs when so connected to a BR player that is capable of internal decoding of same. Can you also confirm that no downconversion takes place . Then post the reply from B&O technical on here. While you are at it why not ask why the latest

  • Re: BV7 Beosystem 3 Limitations

look through the previous postings on this- I believe it was one of the longest threads on beoworld. That will answer most of your questions. In answer to your question ' why must i have hdmi 1.3 to lsten to DTSMA as I stated before you dont! If the player decodes it then it is possible in theory that an hdmi 1.1 receiver will produce the sound

  • Re: BV7 Beosystem 3 Limitations

Firstly let me make it clear I do not make BS3!! we do however make BR for many leading brands - many of the models mentioned in this post included. There is no conspiracy theory I am just trying to relate the facts as i know them so that individuals are not misguided- if you feel you are listening to it god for you! it will save the costs of upgrading
