  • Re: Mac Mini + Beosystem 3

Is the Mac's graphiccard being used for DVD playback feeding into the BS3? - What quality is this of and would it beat a standalone ~$700 DVD player?

  • Is draft N fast enough for VIDEO_TS playback?

Gentlemen.....I have an iMac 24" that connects through N wireless to an airport N hub ~15m away (no walls - free line of sight) The router connects through a LAN to my server (Vista 64bit) - where i host all my VIDEO_TS files. When i run the DVD player on the iMac, playing file from server, the playback is terrible.... sound jumps every 0.5sec

if you already have the 1080p screen - why not considering a US Beosystem 1 (which sells really cheap these days) or a European/US Beosystem 3? It certainly has more features than you might be looking for...but you get to use your BEO4, gives great picture and surrond sound..... I just upgraded to a European BS3 from my previous US BS1....extremely

Torsten; when you try to stop the BM-Link and it starts to "wait" - disconnect the powercord or the USB to the beoport - this should stop BM link. Uninstall BM-Link, reboot and re-install BM link...make sure that you have iTunes 7.42 loaded......connect everything again - check that the BM link logo at the top right is on ON as well - i had

  • Re: New House, New System........????????????

Peter - just as an additonal note to Soundproof - depending if you get a BV7 or a BS1,2,3 you can then connect the mac-mini into your BS1,2,3 with a Toslink>S/PDIF converter and you get excellent sound......can high recommend a X-Raid set-up; Infrant are very capable, small and silent and not to expensive.....
