In my opinion is perfect. If you are using it from around 2meters is fine, if you are going to be near is, IMHO, too big. I've a 17" in my kitchen and it's perfect given the distance from the table, and a BV3 32" as our main TV and I cannot see any need for a bigger screen. For the BeoCenter question, it depends on expansion slots

What about a new release of a BeoLab... let say.. 8000? Beside any joke... you are right, I'm in love (once again) too.

What I want? A B&O "even clever" iPod nano. I cannot see how it can be enhanced, but for shure it can :) For example, replace internal memory with standard SD card can be all it need to be perfect ;) Any hidden news in this space? Really?

I add the same issue with my Pioneer DVR. I had to switch some settings on the Pioneer to not let signals go over the SCART when recording (it's a switch the Pioneer has), and this solved the problem. May be a similar option is even on your receiver.
