BeoSound 3000 + BeoLab 8000 about 12 years ago... and still enjoying them. Over the year, added several others stuff, but you asked the first purchase only :)

I agree an used one (from my point of view, a display one is to be preferred) if you are able to find the one you need is a good choice. Almost all TVs from B&O can report counters of effective usage, so you may ask the dealer to give you such details. About discounts, I can tell you that my local dealer here in Italy for a new BV7-40 would discount

I do have BL8000 and BL4000 + BL2. I'll have them until forever. No regrets here. :) I find BL2 a needed piece of my setup, and you may control with sufficient degree the loudness and impact of his basses on the overall audio experience, just try your best feeling.

I found only plasma ones referred as compatible) or go direclty with a BV7-40 (woth no BlueRay built in) and B&O central speaker. Can anyone report about differences betweek BV7-40 mk4 and BeoSystem3, by a sound/video processing point of view and overall usage

I built my system in almost 10 years, adding pieces over time, only because i do

Sad to hear any bad feeling with any product :( From my personal opinion, you should still try to get support and try a new set from Loewe with proper help and support, prior to refune any other test with them. Bad things happens, and sometime are not fault. From the refund point of view, in my past experience I had a similar experience with my actual

Going to update my BV3-32 in January as soon as the chips are available at the dealer. I'll ask them and report here.
