  • Re: The BeoWorld Event 2010

Just bought 2 tickets and I am looking forward to meeting all of you who could make it to the event. Lee, you need to change the Gift Shop banner for this event - it says 2009 and I was initially confused! rdgs, KCs

  • Re: Pioneer Kuro 9G Beolab speakers.

Hi Justin, I just saw this thread so thought will share some of my experiences with you. I have a KRP600A, which has a separate media box with 4 HDMI input sockets and BSYS3 but the 2 systems are incompatible when one starts using HDMI. Currently, I connect all audio - BS9000 via ML to the BSYS3 and my Pioneer LX91 BDP audio via Coaxial to BSYS3. I

  • Re: Get your BL5s set up right! 13 tips ...

Hi Soundproof, many thanks and I certainly will read the article by Ethan Winer. At the moment, I am very happy with the BL5 set up/configurations and perhaps, when I have more time, will experiment with different configurations to ascertain any improvements.

Hi Soundproof, Great article and thanks for the tips. However, what would be the minimum room size you would recommend to adequately accommodate the BL5s? I live in a Victorian house and I have a dedicated room for listening and cinema viewing. The room size is 4m wide by 5.5m long and 3m high ceiling. I house my BL5s approx 0.5 m from the wall - equal

  • Re: BL5 and non B&O surround processor

My understanding is the decoded format is sent to BS3 and if BS3 could not handle it, it will be downmix to the format compatible with BS3 supportable format, i.e may be 5.1 or stereo. Your BS3 will then send the audio signal to the speakers according to the channel set up for each speaker per your surround sound format and the source (5.1, 6.1, 7.1

The BS3 does not currently support D olby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio . If you watch HD movies or or Blu-Ray DVDs, Dolby TrueHD and DTS-HD Master Audio are the 2 home theater sound technologies that can deliver compressed lossless surround sound for these formats which provide the highest quality audio. Hi, Interesting to read the above article. I recently bought a BS3 and was delivered and installed 3 weeks ago (I believe it is the latest model, serial number 213... and software version AP is 5.08) and the set up is as follows: Screen: Pioneer KRP600A (with a separate media box) - the screen is only 64mm thick and the picture quality is just phenomenal

  • Re: Need help and advice on Beosystem 3 connectivity

Hi Harry2008 I am glad that you are planning a similar configuration. I did a Linn audition last week and it was excellent and the speakers I tried were not even active, just normal passive with cross-over! i will be going back for a second audition this week with the front speakers set to active. I have not tried Meridian but I know they are excellent

Thank you all for your input. I will definitely keep this forum posted of my experience with the Pioneer panel. There are 2 versions of Pioneer KRP model, the A and the M series. My understanding is the A series is with separate media receiver whilst the M series is without. Does anyone of you have any experience with either series and am I right in
