• Re: Off Topic - Bose Speaker Repair

No - nothing obviously blocking the speaker output. The unit has been unused for a bout 5 years, sitting in the loft. I noticed the problems when reinstalling.

  • Off Topic - Bose Speaker Repair

Hi Probably get shot down in flames - but I own a Bose Acoustimass 5 set of speakers which I use in the kitchen (thought they'd be good to hide on top of the kitchen units). The bass unit has stopped producing anything but the minutest muffled sound. The satellite cubes are working perfectly. Can anyone suggest how I might go about finding out what's

  • Re: Can I use a mac mini as a dvd / hd recorder ?

I wouldn't bother with ATV flash. You can get much the same from Boxee/XMBC for free.

  • Re: Does anybody use Apple TV together with BeoVison 10 (or any other BV)

I have a ATV attached to a BV8-40. I've added Boxee to access internet streams such as BBC iplayer. It works very well although I've not worked out how best to access a DVD in the remote iMac drive (I dont have a stand alone DVD player).
BTW, not sure if you had seen my wiring set-up that has been posted previously
Thank you for posting - this is very helpful. I wonder if you could explain the connections between the connections out of the RF Link Amp at 3-4-6 o'clock -> 2 into DVB-T and 1 into the BV8. Also, where is your primary aerial

  • 'I Got Control'

Is this http://www.i-got-it.com/index.html of any use in the search for a single remote for all apple/b&o hardware (ie get round the need for Beo4 to control on/off, volume etc). It states it has a '30kHz to 100kHz Carrier frequency', but I'm not sure of the b&o requirements. AP

Does using the 'AV' function maker any difference?

  • Re: Nradio and BBC Radio, does it work?

I don't know the answer for sure - but I certainly wouldn't be surprised if there was a block given the various rights issues on broadcasting music and the royalties payable to artists etc. In the same vein, here in the UK you can't access the BBC's regional services outside their normal broadcast area for certain football games (where

  • Re: Link TV basics, help?

You can pull any additional video sources from a Video Master (BV8) provided they are connected correctly: STB 1. Needs to be connected via SCART (or RGB?) as well as HDMI 2. Needs to be controlled via STBC DVD1 1. Normal connections BV8-40 1. Needs ML out (like you've already got for BL2000) to link network/BV6-22. 2. Needs RF out - then distributed
