• Re: Beosound 5 verses Beosound 9000

I'd say neither. I've had a Beosound 9000 for over 10 years and never really loved it. It's main asset of playing multiple CDs is well and truly outmoded. OK it looks great, but it's soooo fiddly to use as a CD player and employs a mish-mash of buttons all over the unit. From what i've seen of the Beo 5 it's a nearly product

You mean I have to get a dealer out to my house????? I have to be in during the daytime and pay an extortionate call out fee? What codes should I get for free on installation? I'm genuinely shocked.

  • How Do I Add Extra PUC Codes to a BV8-40?

My BV8-40 was supplied with the bare minimum of controllers. It has about 4 controllers in total - Apple-TV and Sky which I requested and a couple of others. I want to add more, eg Freeview HD, DVD, DVR etc. How do I do it? AP

  • Beovision 1

I'm thinking of buying a second hand TV for a bedroom and notice there a few of the BV1 series available at low prices. I believe they are slightly bigger than the MX4002, but am a little confused about how suitable they are as a link room TV, and what the limitations are wrt Beo4, adding speakers and general flexibility in their set up. Any advice

  • Re: Reinstalling AppleTV
You need to de-connect the original apple remote. Then the BEO4 works well.
Thanks for the information - I'm not exactly sure what you mean - if you could clarify then I'd be grateful. In the meantime I'll have a play with the remote control settings on the ATV. AP

  • Re: Beosound 9000 problem

.... endless threads on 'clean the laser', 'clean the sensors'. Generally clean everything and it might work. Failing that a B&O service centre will clean it all for you and charge a small fortune and call it a 'service'.

  • Reinstalling AppleTV

Hi I'm reinstalling my system after a house move and am struggling with the AppleTV. There appears to be a fault with the 'Apple Remote' control software as only a few of the keys on the Beo4 produce any activity on the ATV, and even then it's the wrong action. E.g. 'Stop' works as 'Enter', Up/Dn arrows don't work

  • Reinstalling BV8-40

Hi I've recently moved house and am in the process of reinstalling my system. I'm currently experiencing the following problems with the BV8-40 (master TV). 1. Analogue channels are poor quality (RF In) - I know the aerial is good as I've connected a MX4002 directly to the aerial and it tunes perfectly. 2. DVB - cannot tune any channels

  • Re: Off Topic - Bose Speaker Repair

You were, of course, totally correct. Serves me right for using some grimy cables where I couldn't claerly see the black stripe ..... Thanks!
