• Re: Using Beoplayer on a Mac ?

Well I've done some more research and have found out that Windows 7 would not operate with the Apple OS (10.5) that I have on the Mac mini anyway (as I understand it) - however Beoplayer will also work as part of Windows XP, so that is a possible solution (and as it has been superceded by Windows 7 the price has reduced). As far as I can make out
I use BeoPlayer to manage lossless content on my Mac. I run Parallels in coherence mode with Windows 7. This means that Windows programs open and operate seamlessly within Mac. So I have BeoPlayer always available to pop over from the side. It's great for keeping content managed on the BeoSound 5 and insuring

  • Using Beoplayer on a Mac ?

Here is a question for the computer knowledgeable people - I have a Beomedia 1 linked to an Apple Mac mini, using Beoconnect for loading music on to it. What you can do with Beoconnect on an Apple computer is quite limited; looking online I have read that Beoplayer seems more functional, but only works with Windows computer operating systems. Now, there
Sorry I forgot you have to extend the setting menu. Please highlight the option settings in thr configuration menu. Then press 0 0 go (beo4) or 0 0 enter (keyboard) and new options will appear below. You will see the option network settings. Hi there Thank you very much for all your useful advice on setting up the Beomedia
Press the red button or the key "r" on the keyboard. The configuration menu is displayed, where you will se the selection network settings. Activate network settings an set the client password. I think this should work without knowing the old pwd.
I have got to the Configuration menu and it has 4 options

  • Re: Beomedia 1 problem - WindowsXP Admin screen?

Update - well the good news is that I have got the Beomedia unit back to it's "operating" screen and can now select from the "N.Music... etc". The answer was to buy a ps2 type keyboard to enable the selection of "Beomedia Recovery" (which took about 10mins to run) - so don't try using a usb keyboard as it is only
does the beo4 up and down not move the cursor?
Unfortunately it does not, tried that early on - I'm wondering if the Beomedia is meant to respond to a B & O TV remote control at this stage of loading ?
The screen with the two lines is the xp boot screen shown in a multi boot environment. So at this time no operating system is loaded. That's maybe the reason why the usb keyboard is not dedected.
Ok, so in that case how would one select the Beomedia recovery option, since that involves moving the hightlight line
I can't see why an USB keyboard wouldn't work, though. Do the numlock LEDs etc. work? If not, the keyboard isn't even receiving power and you might try another USB socket.
Well I have had a chance to have another attempt using the Apple keyboard and the other usb socket (before getting a ps2 adaptor
I did a quick test: on my XP PC a mac keyboard connected via USB worked correctly. The recovery procedure reinstalls the BeoMedia software in it's partition to factory settings und the N.Music/N.Radio... screen will reapear. This will take serveral minutes after that you have a fresh beomedia installation. Usually short
