I saw this asked on another thread, but never answered: Does this Beo6 stuff work with the BS5 regardless of whether it is an audio master? It would seem kind of strange if this were true... then again, the 3rd party / android / apple apps seem to only work completely when the BS5 set as the audio master. I'm not ready to get rid of my BS9000 yet
How many of us have a random-ordered collection of CDs greater than say 100 cases?
Me. This was one of the motivations for getting a BS5. I'm terminally disorganized, and it has turned out great. When I get a new CD, the first thing I do is rip it because, more often then not, it is lost within days

I used a black sharpie (permanent felt tipped marker) to touch up a scratch on my black BS1. You can still see it if you know where to look because the colors do not match exactly, but 99% of the time I don't notice it. Stan

Not to gang up on Paul, but I've stopped reading his posts except for their humor value. I love it, I hate it, etc. Usually, when I decide I don't like a product, I just move along... I wish you well, we're all entitled to our opinions and if everybody agreed then this site would be boring so keep it up, we need "characters" around

1) Get a BeoLink Active w/IR eye 2) Get the appropriate cable from SoundsHeavenly to connect the audio output of your PC to the "PC" input of the Active. Now, select "PC" on your remote to listen to your PC, or N.Music/N.Radio to listen to BS5 3) Wait for B&O to support remote BS5 music selection on the Beo6 OR 1) Connect BL4000s

Months (years?) of complaints?!?! The BS5 has ALWAYS played gapless with lossless WMA. I suppose that is probably what people are complaining about... why not gapless with other formats... or perhaps why not gapless on the BS5E... but don't drag my BS5/BM5 into this - I didn't have to complain to get gapless - it was there from the beginning
-
Unfortunately it seems there is no solution at the moment. Neither the BeoSound/BeoMaster 5 combo, the BSd5 Encore nor the BeoPort/BeoPlayer support gapless playback.
Huh?... My BS/BM5 combo must be special because it definitely plays gapless (with lossess WMA). Stan

When you select the album (either by picture or name), rather than a single song, it plays the entire album, then goes into MOTS. Stan
I am sick to death of people moaning about "Audiophiles lost out to audio files". I bet these are the same people who shunned CD when it was first launched as they listened to their crackly, unlife like records.
I guess I read this differently. I didn't read this as people "moaning"

I'm also curious... hopefully, it does not require a Lintronic box and MLGW... Stan
