I had my 7-40 mk IV upgraded from 6.xx to 7.11a, due to the TV showing an overheatning message some times. Did not have the fan noice before and do not have it after. /MikaelB

Mange køber B&O af andre grunde end alle os frelste herinde. Fordi de kan eller fordi de vil sætte et design statement med deres hjem, og den type B&O købere placerer ofte ikke højtalere efter hvor det lyder godt men efter hvor det ser godt ud. I once had a BeoLink 5000 remote and found when the batteries were low, it swithced to one-way. What I did was to install new batteries and set the remote up for two-way again. Then it worked fine for another 6-9 months

Have not owned a BeoMedia 1, but have a BeoSound 5/BeoMaster 5. The BeoMaster 5 is connected bot via HDMI, SPDIF and MasterLink. Sound quality wise, it uses the SPDIF to transfer sound when playing via the TV (PC function). I have all my music in WMA lossless, so it sound very good. My TV is a BeoVision 7-40 MkIV, so I guess the connection options does

If it is the same as HDR2, then it comunicates channals and other stuf via the SCART cable. But then again - the HDR2 have no HDMI connection. /MikaelB
