Hello, I have recently come across an MPAV 9000 on offer. Does any of you know if this can be used with an Avant, with or without modification? If modification is needed, what is required in terms of work , skill and/or funds? Thank you Sverre

Hello, Firstly, is there any way that I can change the menu language on my VX5500 from french to english? It would be desireable due to my limited comand of the french language. Morgan: That price looks like ok. I´m from Spain and the price I´m going to pay is 2390€ with 2 years full garranty.The Avant is really in mint condition. I think it´s very good price, I´m just checking more opinions. I bought mine, a black demo version, off ebay a year ago from a B&O vendor. It came with 6 months warranty

I believe failures to the transport mechanism is another common error on this unit. My VX5000 has the same problem, and I have spotted several for sale on ebay over the last months said to have the same malfunction. I have tried to open it and to make the adjustments to the standby position as devised by the manual, but the problem persists. Anybody

frog: .... But as the 5500 doesn't have powerlink sockets - what happens then? You are of course right - the solution I described works from 6500 and onwards, not for the earlier models without PL-sockets. Sverre

If you have no speakers connected to your Beomaster 5500, you need to run a powerlink cable between the powerlink sockets on the 5500 and the converter. Fully wired if you have speakers with display, othervise the thin cable might do (i believe). Sverre
