  • Re: IQ of B&O engineers?

@ Soundproof No worries ... I didn't reply to that ... However I do have the iPodRemote installed ... and everything is definitely unpaired ... and Beo4-control of the Humax works fine ... and I have tested all possible AV:s with their associated PUCs and VMEM and all the others as well .... The BeoDane also told me that they have 380V in Denmark

Well as I said ... the AppleTV is definitely unpaired ... However, I think I've finally got some valid info. A guy from B&O Denmark just called and told that the very specific PUC-version I have translates Beo4 IR into death-rays. He strongly recommended me to move all valuable Apple-computers to the basement. /M

soundproof: Actually, Stefan may be on to something. If you have paired your remote to the AppleTV, then it won't recognize IR-signals from other units. Go into the settings menu and unpair the remote (if paired). Well, unpairing I have tried - with no luck. However, pairing the deaf? AppleTV with the dumb? Beo4 was beyond my brain capacity Thanx

stefan: When I got my BV7-40 MK III 4 weeks ago, I connected a mac mini to an AV socket via HDMI and control the mac with Beo 4 with the PUC "ipodremote" in DVD2 mode. Everything works fine including fast scroll. I`m in Europe. Did you try another appletv? Does your apple tv work with the apple remote? Have you paired the remote to your apple

Jez: I've got Apple TV in my PUC list, payed my local service tech to come around and install Apple TV, PS3 and a local digital cable network box into the list. All three work with my Beo4 and Beo5 remotes. BeoRepairMan has been here twice - and failed twice - despite having installed three different "AppleTVcontrolWannabes" (AppleRemote

  • IQ of B&O engineers?

Is it high, moderate or too low to be detected? Or to put it in other words - What is the reason for B&O being unable of writing PUC software for the AppleTV? After all they have managed to control a whole range of other STBs. I get absolutely no useful information from Bang Olufsen Denmark on how to control the AppleTV with Beo4. So VERY frustrating

  • Re: Murky sound from AppleTV

@Ralf Thanx for the comment. Yes I know about ATV4mac and also that it's not working with Leopard (yet). However I think this strategi of Apples is no accident. I think that they want the modular approach i.e. a small controlbox in your living room (=AppleTV) and the mediaserver wherever you want to hide it. So I would not be surprised if they continue
