Sorry. Not going to work. Bases use two different frequencies. 1.9 ghz in Europe and 2.4 ghz in the US. I would look for another UK base on eBay or buy a used US handset on ebay and sell your European handset.

I have recently upgraded my Beosystem 1 with a newer Beovision 4 plasma that is 1080p but without the built in camera. The software is the most current version 4.7M. I heard that the BV 9 was ended with the launch of the 7 -55, so that would only leave the 4 series plasmas and 7, 8 & 10. Is the 6 still offered in Europe? I wonder if the the four series will be replaced with LCD screens. Can't see a huge need for an 85"?

You are right the Beosystem 1 is US only As it is NTSC. You need the Beosystem 2.

Where do you live? I know someone selling one that has never been out of the box. Transport is difficult as they need to ship by truck. They damage quite easily if jostled about.

I received my iPhone 4 yesterday and have been using it all day without any issues. It is a wonderful product and Apple will sell more than their wildest dreams. Regarding the antenna problems of holding it in your hand that some are complaining about, would you carry a $700.00 replacement cost phone in your hand or pocket without some kind of cover

What Blueray player (Sony, Samsung, Pansonic ect.) are you using with your Beosystem 3 today? Does any player boot faster? Work better with the PUC? I have an old Samsung BD P 1400 and I am tired of waiting for the long start up time.

I believe US versions were up to 108 hz while the European version was only 104. Something about police radios using that range in the '60's.
