The US Beotalk 1200 was discontinued about six months ago. I don't know where you would get a new one only used ones. The caller ID which is a main feature of the 1200 would not work. All normal US phones will not work in Australia or UK in my experience.

Maybe you can also use photoshop to get the hands fingerprints, the search the internet for a match and find out who made the photo. :)

If this is true it could be that a new vesion of the 7 series is due soon. I heard from my dealer that the 5 series will not be all new until 2012. The 3's are new now. But the 7 would certainly seem to need a major overhall.

The US BV5 (even early models) have component inputs on the rear next to the masterlink socket red, green, blue which take the output of the Apple TV. The top piece is not replaceable as far as I have heard. You will need to live with it or buy a new phone. The Beocom 2 is made like a ship in a bottle. Once the parts are inside the tube they cannot be removed to be repaired. Only the battery is replaceable from the bottom.

Remember David Lewis was the Video designer and Jacob Jensen was the Audio designer in the 80's. The Beovision 3 really does look like it was designed by a committee. I always thought it looked Sonyish. Did it sell? I would guess never as well as the MX which was David's best designs. The Avant, AV 5, Beocenter 1, Beovision 3 never met the sales

Interesting there is no mention of Beo 5 or Beocenter 2 audio only even though dealers are being trained for their sales as we speak. What ever happened to Roger's rumours of a Beocenter 5 with intelligent aluminum? And what is the Beosound 6 or Serene 2 that have been mentioned lately?

I hear a version with an acoustic lens is in the works.

It is time for a change. Maybe Jonathan Ive will take up the challenge. After all he too is British, I wonder if he speaks Danish? :-)
