  • Re: New BEO-remote

There is clearly a lot of interest among the gold members in the new remote, may I suggest that Beoworld consider obtaining one of these as a prize in the monthly draw on or about its release date? Regards Peter

  • Re: DVB-T Module + HD?

There is a small advantage (as I found out for mysef recently) in having the DVB-T/S in the BS3 in the UK even if as I have Sky HD as well. In fact also the BS3 still includes an analog tuner. I have all these connected because Sky HD boxes appear to be fairly unreliable, mine has gone wrong twice since January. It is quite nice to still be able to

  • Re: Beosystem 3 and DTS

Sounds a bit silly but are the speakers switched on? In my setup when I bring on my DVD1 the bs3 only brings on the center channel (ie speaker 1) apparently this is a prob with the dvd1 as i have one of the first versions. I then need to press speaker 5 to manually bring on all the speakers. Regards Peter

  • Re: Beosystem 3 and DTS

Do you have an sp/dif cable beteen the dvd and the bs3? you need this to get dd5.1 or DTS, otherwise you will just be getting dolby prologic II. Have you checked on the bs3 what sound codec you are getting? to do this play a dvd then press - menu, options, sound, sound system and you will see the input sound and the output sound displayed. Regards Peter

  • Re: BeoSystem 3 Issue?

I get the blinking red light (without a green light) and I have the b&o plasma. The reference guide also points out (although I dont think this is the problem) that flashing red then green is warning of overheating in the bs3. Regards Peter

  • Re: digital inputs/Masterlink problem

Masterlink can only carry analog signals. I suggest connecting up the analog inputs as well as the digital inputs. I dont have a beosystem 1, but this does work my beosystem 3 as long as I connect up analog on the same av port as the digital input this works fine. Regards Peter

  • Re: BeoSystem 3 Early Learning Problems

1.5a is quite old you should get it updated by your dealer free of charge as this may be part of the problem. Regarding control of the sky hd box, pace sky + is the correct setting, you also need the scart cable connected to support the power on / off function and an optical to sp/dif cable if ou want dd5.1. My IR ctrl is stuck on about the 3o'clock

  • Re: Starting over with Beomedia.

Yes it will update automatically. In fact I find it easier to put media onto beomedia 1 by drag and drop. Then on my PC i use windows media player 9 (not 10 as it dosnt work properly with bm1) and set my library to the bm1 file share. By the way you can store lossless files on the bm1 by using windows media player as beoplayer will not rip to lossless
