Beoplayer 4.65 is available for download but it appears the beomedia1 verson is not out yet hence my question.

I see in another thread that a new version for beoplayer including album art is available for beoport. Does anyone know when this version is going to be pushed to Beomeda1? Cheers Peter

Regarding the bit about 5.1 sound. The sound track on a bluray disk is usually suppied in dd5.1 and uncompressed 5.1 pcm. The bs3 can deal with both of these. The umcompressed 5.1 pcm track being way better than the dd5.1, a real improvement. I have my bs3 connected to a playstation 3 picture excellent sound excellent both way better than DVD. Cheers

Hello I dont know your stb, but some stb dont send the dd 5.1 sound over the hdmi! This is certainly the case for my Sky HD stb. For this stb I had to also connect its optical output to an sp-diff via a converter to my BS3. Cheers Peter

As I said in my other post about safe mode it is for sure to do with which source you bring the system on with. There may be other things that also cause safe mode I dont know. I find that if I press either TV or DTV first, then List V-Aux I never get safe mode, and beo customer services advised this is the current work around to the 1080i prob. You

Regarding the center channel, I believe this is the reference channel, you need to calibrate the other channels louder to address this. ie go to menu, options, sound, sound setup, speaker level, and adjust the levels up. You may also want to check the speaker distances are set up properly. Peter

You cant get the BV9 out of safe mode once it is in it unless you put it to standby. To avoid it going into safe mode:- I take it you have bv9 with 1080p panel. I get this with my BS3 BV4-50 (1080p panel). You get this problem if you bring on the system by using a source which is outputing 1080i, so in my case V-AUX brings on a sky hd box set to 1080i

For those interested in how Beosystem 3 processes images; While browsing through the Beosystem 3 service manual on this site I noticed that there is a module in it referred to as Pixelworks, Ive looked on the web and Pixelworks are a provider of advanded video signal processing chips. Their site is quite informative, Im guessing that the Beosystem 3

I have seen this problem when using Windows media player version 10.x to rip cds onto my Beomedia1, tracks created play in alphabetic sequence not track number as you describe. If you either use Windows Media Player 9.x or 11.x it works properly. I hope this helps Peter
