  • B&O WM1 Wow and Flutter Meter

Just spotted this item on UK ebay - does anyone know anything about it? Even the guru of all things Beo-esque, Mr. Jarman has not seen one before, so it must be rare! http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Bang-Olufsen-B-O-WM1-Wow-Flutter-Meter-Rare-/130424987607?pt=UK_BOI_Electrical_Test_Measurement_Equipment_ET&hash=item1e5def5fd7 I can feel myself being very

  • Re: Beocenter 2100 - how to clean

Cif with Bleach will shift them easily without any need for scrubbing. Then use window cleaner to shine up the plastic bits.

  • Re: Keep the Beocord cassette decks alive!

Yes, I'll sign up to this too! I currently have a Beocord 2400, Beocord 8000 and a Beocord 5000 (80s type), all rejuvenated by a certain Mr. Jarman, and they make some truly impressive noises. I do have to confess that what really re-ignited my cassette interest, though, was the purchase of a Technis RS-9900 - a true beast and the world's only

  • Re: When did the high-def era really start?

As far as I'm concerned, high definition home viewing started when B&O introduced the Avant. Pictue quality has been going downhill ever since!

  • Re: refoaming cx 50s.....

As a final though on the re-foaming subject, I buy my foams from NewFoam in the USA in the form of a kit that inclides, foams, glue, shims and replacement dust caps. I personally find it far safer to cut the old dustcap off and use shims down inside the voice coil to hold everything solid and equally spaced whilst doing the re-foam job. Talking of which

  • Re: Funny stories from your spouse about B&O

Well, Mrs S actually buys some of our gear - although I introduced her to B&O by buying her a Beocenter 7007 back when she was just my girlfriend and had bought her first house, it was her who announced a few years later that she really liked the BS9000 and was going to buy one with her first bonus. She also decided that the dining room needed BL6000s

  • Re: Can people tell me what exactly is the point of mp3, ipods, etc......?

I'm afraid MP3s are of no interest to me either. My BeoSound 2 that my wife bought me five years ago has never been out of its box, simply because I have no use for it. I have a large collection of CDs and LPs, so at home I listen to these. In the car I load up the CD changer or listen to some of my old cassettes and I have no interest in music

  • Re: What are the best B&O items ever?

In design and styling terms - BeoSound 9000 In technology terms - Beolab 5 In pure "heart ruling head I love mine and will never sell it " terms - Beosystem 5000!

  • Re: MS150.2

Well, I won the stands, which I'll be using on my M150s but the speakers went beyond my top bid, which I thought was generous given the work they needed! Oh well, back to the search...

  • Re: MS150.2

I saw the stands and got excited as I need a pair for my M150s. Then I saw the speakers and realised I'm going to have to have a go for them as well. I did have a pair of MS150s given to me a year or so back, in a very bad way, which I refoamed and then gave to Tim Jarman as I have too many large loudspeakers. However, having heard what they can
