I just have a pair installed in a room of 6x5 meters and another pair in a 10x5 room. And they do fill up the room quit easily. Ok, it aint no disco, but no background either. Sound quality is also quit good. A full and rich sound.

Why would you limit the pleasure of looking at the BS9000 to the bedroom. I have mine in the livingroom and via masterlink it is connected to a BV6 with Beolab 8000 in the bedroom. Still have the option to have me waken up by it. The timer function also works in link-rooms. Advantage BC2 - DVD player - smaller Advantage BS9000 - multi CD - no hide away

Why would you risk using anything other than the real thing. Just to save a couple of bucks (and run the risk of a non optimal working system)? You can buy orginal masterlink cable up to 100 meters. Use original powerlink cable to connect speakers. It is very thin (can be bought per meter as wel) and works execellent. Best reccomendation I can give

You can buy a Y cable for a couple of euro. If you cable is damaged you can also solder another cabel in the plug that goes to your 8000. Just connect all the wires parrallel.

Big dissappointment.. I really want to use only one remote for basic functions. Is the dvd-controller an alternative to use with a sony dvd/harddiskrecorder. How much does a dvd-controller cost? Never seem to appear on any pricelist.

It is definately not a radio remote. You have to point to the lamp to be able to control it. Sounds like a nice chalenge though. You can set multiple lamps to respond to one remote. So there are channels involved. If you pay over 149,- euro, you pay to much.
