  • Re: I'm so happy I just had to tell you......

The Airport Express has an output that is capable of analog and digital (optical) signals. I suppose you have your speakers connected with an analog 3,5 mm jackplug. You can connect an external DAC between the Airport Express and your Beolabs. You have to use an optical cable and plug it into the Airport Express.

Just to make it more confusing, there is another (additional) way to vastly improve the sound when using an Airport Express: use an external DAC. I use an Apogee MiniDac and the difference between the Airport output and the sound from the external DAC is immense. (A DAC converts the digital signal into analog sound - the Airport Express has one on board

  • Re: B&O-Apple integration: two questions

The DAC in the Airport express is not very good. An external DAC however makes it work perfectly. I use an Apogee mini DAC and it sounds great. If you calculate that you may have to invest in a DAC, you can try an Airport express without it and if you like it save yourself some money. But I think if you want to record lossless that you will be dissappointed

  • Re: ervaring B&O dealers

  • Re: DVD1 gebruik in link kamer

  • Re: Connecting BG 7000 to BS 9000

Peter was just a second ahead of me. That is the way to do it indeed. As the BG7000 has a RIAA pre-amplifier it can be connected to any amplifier with an aux, tape of line in. If your BS 7000 is white I am interested to give it a nice house.
