Hey All, Thanks for the input. I am looking at the BL4's for the rears as 1) they are small an unobtrusive 2) surrounds do not need to do any heavy lifting 3) there are inexpensive. I may consider BL9s for the front vs the BL-3's+BL-2. In this setting, appearance will be very important. I am looking at the BS3200 (actually, the BS3000 if I can

Visit to the Boston B&O Store Hey All, Monday I finally made it into Boston to check out the B&O store for some info on a quote for a client. The client is building three high-end town houses on the Maine coast and I was asked to develop a whole-house AV system - naturally B&O came to mind :-0 Anyhow, the store in Boston is very small, and

How cool is that? Thanks for the confirmation.

With a standard "tone-arm" turntable, the record groove moves the needle across the record. Does this happen with tangentials? I am watching my BG 3000 play a record, and I could swear the arm moves independant of the groove. Comments?

Well, apparently Charles Eames designed the Beogram 8000 :-) http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=180131936190&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:US:1 It also seems a bit pricey too.

I have sold dozens of these: http://www.macally.com/EN/Product/ArticleShow.asp?ArticleID=139 No issues, no failures, they look good, and they are aluminum.

I agree - this is unnecessary as these items have been available online for some time. I guess they are trying a more common channel to sell to non B & Oers. Lessens the brand in my opinion.

Hey all, Anyone know if the TX linear turntables have RIAA circuits built-in? Thanks!
-
Hey all, OK, so I want a record deck for my BC 9500, which has the RIAA circuit in it. This means I need a Beogram without the RIAA circuit in it. I know the BG9500, BG3300 and BG3000 do not have it. Are there any others? Specifically looking for a linear tracking unit that is affordable.

Hi All, Thanks for the help. I am exchanging the unit for another one, so hopefully in a few days I'll have a fully functioning BC 9500!
