  • Re: The BeoSound 8 - Live Review!!!

I spent the last week in Chicago at a conference. It was sooooo cold that I think my voice went up a whole octave!!! As usual when I travel, I sought out the local B & O store to check it out and see what the staff are like (most times they are great people but now and then I have come across a surly one and have left the store straight away). The

  • Re: Please help with Ouverture problem

Not so far! I tried to remove the MasterLink connection from the Ouverture but it wouldn't budge! I really don't want to scrabble around at the back of the BV-7. Graham Donald who owns the installation company is coming back this Thursday to load some new software so that he can make the BV-7 Zone-free for dvds so i will get him to try then

If someone can tell me which plug to pull from the back of the Ouverture to disconnect it from the BV-7, I'll give it a try, thanks. Cliff

  • Please help with Ouverture problem

Since my B & O equipment has been replaced after our renovations, I have noticed a problem with the Ouverture. Ed thinks it is an options issue but suggests someone on this site may be able to help. When we have a CD on in the Ouverture, it plays as normal. If it is ignored, usually it finishes and stops turning then after a while the Ouverture

Go to the Apple site, then Support, then Mac Mini then FAQ about HDMI. My Mac mini does not recognize my HDTV. Leave your Mac mini turned on while you power off the HDTV. Unplug the HDMI cable from the Mac mini and plug it in again. Power on the HDTV.

Well a second visit from the installers has made a big difference! The reason the Ouverture kept turning on with the tv was because they were both set up as masters and trying to work with the signal from the Beo4. A simple fix was to turn off the ir receiver of the Ouverture and let it get its instructions from the tv. This also means that the tv accepts

Thanks for your comments, Moxxey, regarding UKTV. Very reassuring! Last night I watched a different channel, Taggert on 13th Street and the picture was superb. Great relief!! Cliff

No, it's Graham Donalds guys who did it. To be fair, they worked hard all day and they were getting pretty tired by 9 pm. They made a very neat job of everything including putting an ethernet cable and aerial from one end of the house to the other partly outside and partly under the house. Graham Donald himself is coming out this Thursday and I

  • Re: Advice on MacMini, BV7, Masterlink integration

Thanks, Ed. I did as you suggested for the iTunes and over they all came!! In fact, everything came over including my Podcasts and Movies!! I had to wait ages for it all to go through!! I find I can open and play films and tv programmes in the same way as I do on my iMac but apart from those you put across on saturday, I can't find the others on
