Does anyone know if this fixes the picture freezing issue on bv10 which occurred after the previous software update?

Hi folks The control button on my beotime has stopped working - it won't respond to pressing. Any ideas? Can the BeoTime be 'reset'? I have tried taking the batteries out and putting them in again, which made no difference. What's the warranty on a BeoTime and does it transfer to one purchased second hand (which mine was)? Cheers Stuart

I still have a problem with my BV10-40 whereby the DVB-HD module cuts out most nights, half an hour after being turned on, for no apparent reason - latest DVB-HD software installed. One minute you're engrossed in a program, hanging on a line of dialogue, and the next the sound disappears, the picture freezes, screen goes blank, ugly grey clock makes

I'm waiting for the new laser, so the Ouverture's in bits at the moment, but the broken clip is at the top and I think the panel won't sit flat when I reinstall it. But maybe it'll be okay! Otherwise, new could be the way to go. Thanks for the advice. S

I'm after the right hand (facing the unit), glossy black plastic panel which sits behind the glass doors of the Ouverture. I broke one of the clips removing mine. Anyone have one? Cheers Stuart

Hi Menahem Luckily(?!), I haven't damaged the laser assembly, rather the clip on one of the shiny black plastic panels (behind the glass doors) that needs to be removed to get access to the screws in order to remover the laser assembly. Thanks for confirming the numbers. I'm assuming the black plastic panels are available as spare? They were

Hi Menahem I've removed the laser. The numbers on the ribbon and the first number on the chip are identical to yours. Does it matter that the other two numbers on the chip are different? They are N72EK9 and HfH9740. I also managed to break one of the clips on the right hand (facing the unit) plastic panel, despite being ultra careful. Anyone have

Hi guys Thanks for your replies. Looks like I'll have to check what's inside after all. There seem to be two Phillips lasers on eBay: the cdm 12.2 and cdm 12.4 as used by Menahem. Thanks for the advice Menahem. As you say $15 is not a lot to lose. Just have to get into the Ouverture... Stuart

I'm wondering if anyone knows whether the type of laser need to replace a faulty one in an Ouverture, can be determined from the serial number or type number. I don't really want to dismantle the item before the repair if I can avoid it. Mine is not the radial laser version. Additonally, can anyone suggest a good source for new lasers? Do they

Possibly a good reason to install horizontally!
